Hi - Here is a quick overview of the project.
I have a number of ebooks (lets say 10) that I sell on my web site - I want to be able to offer customers the ability of paying $10 to download any three ebooks.
So after a customer pays their money - they log in to the web site and then the first page they go to - gives the 3 credits.
They can then choose to download any book. And after each download, their credit points decrease until they use all of their credits.
**What I want developed** is the first page that people go to -with the 3 credits. This page offers customers a list of all the books to download and after each download reduces the number of credits until they are all used.
See more detailed instructions below - however, this should be a relatively easy project for someone who knows what they are doing and knows perl.
There are steps that need to be completed for this project:
Step A) I presently use a script to verify payment, this script is written in perl. When a customer logs in using a form - their details are sent to a seperate (3rd party) database, for verification. These details will also need to be sent to my database which captures their name and email and contains a column with their 3 credits.
Step B) A web page needs to be constructed showing all links for download and the number of credits still available to the customer.
Step C) When a customer chooses a book to download a new window loads showing details of the book and asks for conformation of download. If the customer chooses to download the book, then the download progresses, the title of the book is included in the database and the parent page (with all the links) is refreshed and the number of credits decreases in the database and on the parent page.
So at the end of the whole process, I have a database showing customers names and emails, and the titles of the books that each person chose to download.
