Joomla site setup using an template

I am trying to setup a specific type of ecommerce site, similar to groupon.com. I am using Joomla and a template designed by Templateplazza called dealplazza. Unfortunately there is no documentation on how to set the template up, and it is proving to be exceeding difficult. I need some help getting the site up and running. I am current hosting it locally and would like to continue to do so until it is fully functioning. The site and functionality is pretty basic.
The site would need to use a component like Virtuemart for purchases.
