Hello,
We need your help in deciding the best data transport protocol for our whiteboard. This one day (8 hours) of consulting can easily turn into more.
After helping us decide, we’ll use your experience in helping us write the code and reviewing subsequent questions.
The consultation will be for finding the most efficient way for transferring data from one user’s browser white boards to other user’s browser whiteboards. We have decided against using Flash because of the server licensing costs for hundreds of thousands of users.

Other possible solutions are:
1. Build an desktop app using a relay server to update a browser inside the desktop app.
2. Have the server push a whiteboard change to the other’s browsers.
3. Use PunJab and Jabber to maintain a stateful connection.
4. Etc.
