Web Flash E-book Maker Application

This project comprises the development of an application that takes PDF files and converts them into an impressive flipping ebook in flash. The application needs to have a clean and functional GUI interface and result in a distributable exe with an install program. A fully functional sample of the application is available on request with all relevant .swf files, xml files, exe and Open Source GPL files that help create the relevant files needed. We would like the application to be similar to the functionality in the sample. As an overview: The application accepts a PDF file, extracts .jpg images of the pages, parses the text in the pdf and stores in xml to create a searchable document. The .jpg images are the shown in flash as animated flipping pages with a navigation toolbar. The user can click on the page to zoom in (higher resolution .jpg shown) and click to zoom out. The application has the ability to embed video/flash/sound which is simply a flash player that shows the .flv file once a hotspot is clicked or plays a sound file. The abilty to embed links into the pages. The pdf is parsed for website addresses and those addresses are shown as embedded, clickable hotspots in the ebook. This project would be suite a company/individual with extensive flash experience and experience manipulating pdf files or someone who has worked on a similar project and has code reuse as a resource.
