The site is a redesign of an online photo sharing system run for a photo printing labs.
The site allows much functionality both for the user and administrator. The user can log in and upload images to the server, which can be categorised, rotated and shared with specific or all other users. The photos can also be purchased via an ecommerce module (orders are processed offline) in a variety of sizes and formats.
There are also facilities to "Pick Up" rolls of film you have sent for processing electronically via a download. The store has additional functionality such as discounting (via "voucher codes" etc), and determines quality of the printed photos based on size of the uploaded image.
At present the system is written in JSP, however it is not yet known if we will get access to the original database as it is a "leased" system and everything is run from the owner's server. Thus it may be necessary to just start from scratch.
