Hello,
after trying and failing, I'm looking for somebody skilled with linux servers, whm, cpanel, databases, nameservers and DNS. Basically everything you'd need to successfully migrate a website including email accounts (just 3 of them) and correctly pointing a domain from the current shared hosting to VPS (WHM / CPanel license is available).
Normally, I'd expect it to be a rather easy job for somebody who has done this before, but here go two catches:
1) I'm an almost complete IT noob and it might take patience on your side (imagine explaining the task to a 12 years old).
2) I'd rather not disclose the name of the website in question nor give you an admin access to it. Hope this can be understood.
With this in mind, I'm looking for somebody willing to take his time to advice and slowly walk me, step-by-step, through the whole process, until the website runs perfectly on a new VPS server with minimum possible down-time in between.
Please understand that this might take some time to finalize as I'm not usually available to chat. I am able to work (following your instructions) on this task for about an hour each day, and accordingly this will take at least several days to complete.
If we try, but run across something that simply can not be done without massive time investment (like manually rebuilding databases), I will still pay you 50%. 100% if we make it work.
Furthermore, more work will be surely available if are both happy.
