Our web based app was developed on Grails 2.4 framework. We use HTML5, Angular.JS, Javascript and JQuery for frontend. We would need a chat application build into Grails application that would allow users to chat with their team members or customer contacts. The user of our app should be able to launch a chat with one of their contacts when they click the chat icon next to the contact, or from the list of available side panel modal that would list all their team/company members who are using our app, and also their contacts from their contact list. The chat module should allow to chat P2P or initiate a group chat. The user can decide to store the chat history as well in the database,
