I have the attached Access database:
Change 1: In the materials table I have 8 x currency fields.
A) I require the field called [cost] to be the sum of call the other 7 currency fields. [Material cost] [cnc cost] [ paint cost] [hardware cost] [factory labor] [installation] [mark up]
B) I require the [mark up field] to be the sum of [Material cost] [cnc cost] [ paint cost] [hardware cost] [factory labor] [installation] multiplied by .3 to create a 30% mark up.
You determine the best way to accomplish the above 2 items. If a new query is required the do make it.
Change 2: When the main form is active, I'd like the ability to open an old quote & change it. Up to you how this can be achieved.
Change 3: I want the ability with perhaps buttons, used as filters to be able to run queries based on which buttons are on. I.E I require a buttons to toggle these fields [cnc cost] [ paint cost] [hardware cost] [factory labor] [installation] [mark up]. If button is selected the query that adds up the quote allows that item to pass thought to the total [cost] of the items. My aim here is to be able to see my costs related to individual items like[Hardware cost] only.
Change 4: I have a field called [Type] in the materials library. I want an extra filter function that allows me to generate forms based on the type selected. Here you may need to create a new table called 'Types'',
All the above needs to be placed on the mainform.
