Hi there, I've done similar projects with barcode scanning in the past, both with MS Access and as a webapp with the web2py framework. I guess probably your scenario involves mutiuser terminals for your app, to allow employees to scan their barcodes in more than one checkpoint at the same time. If you need to centralize the invoicing process from outside the checkpoint sites, maybe the webapp will do best. With Access we can have multiuser functionality easily within a LAN environment, with Internet it will be too slow for the scanning process to be agile. I've managed also asyncronous scanning and collecting data for invoicing later, consolidating from several user's terminals. I'm trying to contemplate in advance any complex situation and propose a solution for that, but when we get in touch we'll clarify and discard what doesn't apply to your scenario and we'll get a straight forward solution which can be implemented simply and quick.
