I guess you have a set of images in a folder (may be in a nested folder) and you want to convert them into CIE Lab format for your clustering task. In this case, I'll write a MATLAb script that will read images from that folder, convert them to CIE Lab format and save those images into another folder (or whatever folder structure you want). I am an experienced MATLAB developer and the right person for your task.
