Product in a nutshell: an MVP for a new ecommerce customer support system, targeting SMB's.
-A ‘support inbox’: captures all email sent to the user’s help email address, and allows them to respond and view the customer’s order data/history from a single page.
-A 'feedback inbox': captures all responses from an automatically triggered email request for customer experience feedback ‘x’ number of days after an order has been shipped.
-Widget/snippet that users can place on their Shopify homepage/other page with all approved feedback.

I’d like to build the MVP for Shopify, but the product has to be designed in such a way that we can build out other integrations for other major ecommerce platforms (WooCommerce, Bigcommerce, Magento, etc.), as well as an API for users who’d like to develop custom solutions. Note: This is not a part of this project’s scope. Only looking to validate the idea with Shopify at this point.
Looking to build on Ruby/Rails/postgresDB/Heroku, SASS/HTML5/JS, because that's what I'm familiar with, but I’m not strongly opinionated here. If you have a good argument for using other tech, I’m willing to listen.
What you can expect from me: Clear communication, prompt pay, potential on-going work.
What I expect from you: you communicate clearly, meet deadlines (I’d like to wrap this project up in < 2 weeks), and have high standards writing quality, readable code. You do not need to be great front-end designer (I will hire a visual designer), but you should be able to create a very basic HTML/CSS temporary front-end.
