Our company has been developing an application that currently runs on Windows and only requires a certain version of Java to launch and use. We are looking for developer(s) to assist in the setting up of a Windows Azure instance. The purpose of using Windows Azure will be to facilitate the usage of our application on any device for our clients without the need of installing any additional software to run.
Currently the application we have created is launched using a .bat file which sends parameters to a .jar file and runs a java application on the Windows machine. Java 1.7.80 32-bit or 64-bit is necessary as the minimum version of java depending on the build of the application.
In addition to what was listed above we need to integrate the launching of the application with a Moodle site and pass the users information from Moodle into the application to track their usage and progress while using the application. We can handle tracking user progression once the information is in the application. The concern here is making sure we can launch the application from a website, pass in user information to the application launcher and then on to the application itself.
So the final goal is the ability to launch an application separately or from Moodle, and if launched from Moodle pass in the user information to the application itself.
Goals
1. Hosting and use of application from Microsoft Azure on any device
2. Launching of application from a website
3. Passing users information from the website into the application for tracking
Hi
As you can see from my feedbacks I am probably the only moodle expert on the site with more then 7 years moodle experience and a lot moodle related projects already completed.
I am a core code contributor and I have a couple of plugins already submitted to moodle plugin list.
Regards!
