Application Developer (APD)

Randstad Sourceright is a leading provider of outsourced recruitment solutions in the EMEA region. Our client is looking for freelancers to work in the public and private sector. For the public sector, the offered positions are at a European institution, responsible for proposing legislation, implementing decisions, upholding treaties and managing the day-to-day business within the EU. Application Developer (APD) We are looking for professionally qualified freelance Application Developers to contribute to our client's cause. The positions are located in Belgium. Nature of the tasks -Development and maintenance of software applications -Development and integration of technological components -Implementation of user requirements. -Prototyping -Elaboration of test programs -Integration with other applications -Writing of technical documentation -Assistance with deployment and configuration of the system -Participation in meetings with the project teams. Knowledge and skills -In depth knowledge of application development environments -Good knowledge of the design and development of web and multi-tier applications -Good knowledge of modelling tools (e.g. UML) -Knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g. RUP, AGILE) -Knowledge of relational database systems -Ability to cope with fast changing technologies used in application developments -Ability to participate in multi-lingual meetings, ease of communication. -Capability of integration in an international/multi-cultural environment, rapid self-starting capability and experience in working in team. Education and experience -Minimum a total of 3 years of relevant studies and/or experience after the secondary school Optional specific expertise -Minimum a total of 2 years of experience with one or more of the following: development tools / environments / languages (e.g. Java, JEE, ANT, Maven ) or in modelling tools (e.g. UML). We require all levels of experience. We need both juniors with 2-3 years to seniors with 15+ years of experience. They can be in both the private sector and/or in the public domain. All the positions are fulltime and project based. Most of the projects are long term, up to a year or more, and require relocation to Belgium (Brussels or other locations). We are also frequently looking for Service Desk Support, Administration, Infrastructure Testers, User Documentation, Trainer Providers, Security Consultants, Technology Expertise, Enterprise Architects, Business Analysts, and Project Managers.
