We are looking for someone to create a 3D model of a "Vortex" for our Mac app. To illustrate what we want, please find attached vortex-3.gif. As you see, this icon is an animated GIF that uses 2 layers to create a 3D spinning effect (together with light as gradients) I need a 3D model of this kind of vortex (with colors more similar to [login to view URL]) so that we can create either videos or static images of different 2D projections of it. I even found this video that shows how to do something nearly equivalent (except for colouring) in Illustrator: [login to view URL] See the attached Snapshot... for a side view of the vortex. I expect the awarded freelancer to help me create some videos/2D projections of the model as well, and teach me how to do it if possible for further utilising the model. I am a complete noob in 3D modelling so there is no requirements in which program to use for building the model. It would be a plus, however, if it is free or relatively inexpensive.

Good day. Please check my portfolio, specially the "Mage's Temple" folder. In the last picture there, you can see that I have created what you are looking for: a vortex. If indeed the vortex is different, It's ready to use: I can easily swap colors and textures. It would be done in real 3D, exportes as images, so you can either have a GIF file, an MP4 video element, anything you need! Also... I'm from México. I am a fairly new 3d modeller, but need work. This project won't be to difficult and I know how to use various programs such as zBrush, Maya, Blender, Unity, and how to convert files so they can be used on a free program like blender, even though they were created on a more expensive program like zbrush or 3ds max. If you would like to talk to me about this vortex project contact me at, and i will guarantee to charge only 75% of what anyone else will charge. Name's Nick, would love to work on making you an awesome 3d model. I'm not very familiar with animation but you probably won't need it if all you're doing is taking pictures in various phases. Will still do it if it is a requirement though, although in your case it will be a lot harder to use for whatever it is you need it for.
