Since I know we're all on our own time budgets, I'll be specific.
I work for a digital marketing agency, and I'm looking for writers to cover the areas mentioned above.
Here’s what we’re looking for in a writer:
- reliability and being on time;
- experience in their field, or great research skills to cover other fields;
- quality work that won’t require a lot of proof-reading and editing;
- adherence to guidelines - sometimes very strict, depending on the editor;
- an outline before the whole text, just to make sure we’re on the same page;
- competence in (at least basic) SEO optimization;
- using Grammarly and Hemingway - not for every text, but often.
Based on previous bad experiences here, I'd like you to consider this before you send a proposal:
- please don't apply if you don't intend to communicate later on
- be clear if you score other projects in the meantime - no one likes to be left waiting
- samples to be included BY ALL MEANS
- the work we need and the language it requires really need to be on a specific level
- if you have an issue with any of the above mentioned requirements (a frequent example is writers 'not doing outlines'), don't apply - these are not negotiable
First-timers ARE welcome, but please tweak your expectations accordingly.
We are looking for writers who will be willing to do this type of work on a regular(ish) basis, so if you're available for that it's another plus.
Other than that, just be sincere and open, and let's not waste each other's time :)
