I just purchased a 1 bed / 1 bath condo and need to have the hardwood floors re-finished (sanded, minor repair / filling, securing a few loose boards in the kitchen area, stained, and sealed). There are two rooms (a main room, and a bedroom ) plus a small hallway ... ~500 sf all together. The condo is empty. I need suggestions on how we handle the edges ... the baseboard trim is original, and I don't think I want to disturb it, so I may have to have some 1/4 round put down on the edges to cover up, but you may have a better solution.
I'd like to apply a good (hard) clear sealer that will stand up to dogs on it without scratching, so please indicate the product you recommend so that I can research it.
I'd like to start this week and complete next week.
I'll post a few pictures, and my schedule is pretty flexible such that I can meet you to take a look pretty easily.
