We are creating a FM database to keep records against assets we support
I have created a database with layouts and built relationships
I have however reached an issue outlined in the example below
We have created a customer list and when we open the customer a list of assets are displayed. For example if we would like to see the details of a clients router we open the router and the router details are displayed.
However some clients have two routers and we are unsure how to have FileMaker handle this
Ideally we would like to have a button on the router layout to enable us to add another router and have it displayed below the current one.
We would like to know how to do this in the future As we will similar scenarios for different assets. If someone could show us how to achieve this that would be great!
Thanks
Jonny

Hi Jonny, What you're after here is a relational database join. I can explain the concept of this to you fairly simply. Let me know if that's of interest. All the best, James.
I would be happy to do a screen share session and help you set this up. It would require that we set a time to meet online.
You don't need a proposal, all you need is a portal to display a 1 to many relationship. You are already on the right track on you your FM Database.
