A system was developed for me that can incorporate the data from the fields in a report (.rtf or in excel form) and generate emails and/or letters that add the data from selected fields in the report into the appropriate fields in the emails/letters.
The program can then send these emails via Microsoft Outlook to the email addresses (from the report) of the recipients.
There are several options in this program...
1. the emails can be sent automatically, all letters (emails) at one time without reviewing them, (just press "send" once and they all go out)
2. or the emails can be generated individually for review and sent out individually (press send for each one) or as a group (press send once),
3. or the emails can be generated, queued in the outbox and set up for delayed delivery.
4. The email account from which these emails are sent can be selected from a list of accounts on that particular computer's Outlook.
I can even elect to request return receipts or not.
Based on this technology, i have established a new platform that I would like to create.
Unfortunately, the programmer who designed my existing module is not available (hegemony in his country) and I am afraid that the brilliant innovations that I have will need to be reproduced by the next worker. I can provide the existing software, but I believe the code is 'locked'.
The new project uses the innovations from this program. It is intended to
1. take a report of the tests performed on a given day, or a given series of days that is generated from the billing program in .rtf
2. make written reports for each entity (patient) entered in the above report for each test that the patient had performed.
Each test has a series of prewritten text ('result'). The text that is applied to any given patient is based on selections made in the template
that needs to be designed There is a diagram attached to illustrate.
The completed written report will have:
* the patient's demographic information (from the original report)
* the date of the tests,
* the name of tests
* the results (one result per eye/ both on the same report),
* the plan
3. generate an email to the respective patients that indicate the result of the tests (prewritten based on the result of the test (see diagram) and
my recommendations (based on the choices made in the template
4. the template will have alarms for each entry to remind the office worker to follow-up if attempt at calling the patient was not successful (a check box has not been ticked on the template),
5. the emails to the patients will be generated and sent in the same way that the module that i already described works.

5. a snapshot of the older program to show how it currently works
This program must be adjustable by me in the future in case the variables change, new tests are derived, or new ideas emerge.
The program will have to be open (unlocked) so it can be accessed by others in the future.
Since this is a new concept, the worker will have to cooperate with making adjustments / revisions / or overall changes as we proceed.
