Interspire issue with bounce email account. Test Bounce Settings is failing

I have a VPS with interspire and powerMTA configured for bulk emailing.
I have run one campaign in January and then the bounce email setting worked fine. Now I was just configuring another campaign with new newsletter and realised that the bounce email settings dont work. Just need that fixed.
When I go to contact list -> Edit and try to test bounce settings, it fails.
When I try to send a campaign to test contact list, those emails going to dead or non-existing emails are not marked by Interspire as Bounced Emails. Under Statistics -> Campaign -> Bounced Emails -> it consistently dont show any email bounced.
I have configured same email id with same email server configured to my Outlook and emails work fine with it on outlook. In Interspire it gives me error of user/password incorrect if I choose POP and get some firewall / protocol, port setting error if I choose IMAP.
Need your help fixing this issue
