We want to create our own internal marketing automation tool. We have previously tried many different applications, such as iContact, FullContact, Mailchimp, Sendgrid, Toutapp and iHance, however, none of them have been the perfect fit for our needs.
We are currently using a blend of iHance to track one-off emails through Gmail servers and log email activity in Salesforce CRM, and Toutapp to track and log emails from marketing campaigns that we build through Salesforce contacts and companies.
A couple of features that are currently lacking with this mix:
The ability to track specific IP's (although we can see location specifics)
Native Salesforce integration for marketing campaigns and activity (currently filter down companies + contacts in Salesforce and export to Toutapp)
1) Tracking opens, clicks and views of emails sent and received in Gmail
2) Automated and unique Salesforce logging of said Gmail emails with tracking activity
3) Track specific IP’s in tracking activities for Gmail emails
4) Ability to pull Salesforce Campaign Member lists into a marketing automation platform
5) Salesforce Campaign Member statuses to be automatically updated (not sent, sent, opened, viewed, responded)
6) Marketing automation platform that can be natively viewed and managed in Salesforce
7) Marketing automation platform that either utilizes Gmail servers OR sends mail using our Gmail credentials with sent/received messages viewable from Gmail
8) Trigger pre-drafted emails to be sent out based on tracking activities of current email campaign (i.e. if someone does not open email, send them a specific follow-up OR if someone opens the email but does not respond, send them a different email)
9) Tracking opens, clicks and views of emails sent and received through marketing campaigns
10) Automated and unique Salesforce logging of said marketing campaign emails with tracking activity
11) Sending Marketing Campaign emails on a delayed schedule / at a certain time
12) Track specific IP’s in tracking activities for marketing campaign emails
13) Utilizes mail merge fields based on Salesforce object fields
14) Native Salesforce Dashboard to track campaign statistics and responses
