Hello, Maybe you dont need SMD antenna at all, I can design RF trace and antenna on PCB using PCB traces. It would make your BOM cheaper.

Hi, I have a lot of experience with the nRF52 and I just read your post and check your attachments. First based on your description I'm not sure if you are aware that the antenna trace impedance must be 50Ω . And such impedance is almost impossible to control using a CAD software, since it will depend on the material of the PCB as well the layout of the grounding planes and other stuff. Is true you can calculate it based on the PCB specs and moving ground planes and playing with lengths. You would usually ask the PCB manufacturer to control the matching according to their specifications. Most of them will do it, since they work with fixed specs ( like copper ounces and materials ) so even when you write on Eagle or any other CAD software that you want a specific material property, it will finally depends on the manufacturer. A way to reduce costs and make cheap prototypes ( since impedance control have an extra cost ) also reduce EMI is to use a RF filter, I would recommend the DEA162450BT1298A1. But remember your crystals will also introduce noise. Best Regards!
