I'm looking for an expert to help me design and develop an automated data conversion script/application that will upload data from a legacy GIS database (ESRI ArcStorm) to the more recent ESRI geodatabase format ArcSDE/ArcGIS for Server. A current semi-automated upload procedure exists, utilizing an intermediate export to the coverages format and some scripts, but takes too long and has a few issues. IMPORTANT: Your bid should only reflect the provision of very basic assistance regarding the above, mainly to prove his or her expertise. Any freelancer exhibiting proper background and expertise will then be considered for actually designing and developing a solution, through a more proper contract and salary. Only experts in the specific field should bid, general data conversion expertise is not enough. Thank you for your time.

Hello, I've placed a bid per your offer. I have a long experience in working with modern ArcGIS applications (from 9.0) and I don't have an idea about ArcStorm and its data structures. I suppose it's an industry-specific ArcGIS extension, right? I could take a look and check if I can do anything for you. Hello. I can run this data conversion process for you. I have a MS in GIS, was trained at ESRI, and have over 10 years of GIS experience. I utilize ArcGIS 10.x. I would create a script to automate this process. I would like to know the number of features within the ArcStorm database to be converted or get a copy of the database or schema to prepare the conversion script.

Dear project manager, I may be interested in this collaboration, but in case I'll need more info to decide. I worked with ArcGIS and geodatabases, but recently moved to open source solutions. Anyway, my field of expertise is python scripting and development, and I believe being able to develop an instrument as you need. But I never worked with Arcstorm.
