63152 Save feature for javscript app

Hi, I have a javascript application that needs a 'save settings' feature. The javascript is a 'generator' that invites the user to enter or select values and, when ready, it then generates the code that the user should place on his/her web page. The application is quite complex, so there are a lot of values to be entered/selected. For this reason I'd like to add some kind of 'save settings'/'load settings' feature. I don't need anything very fancy, just needs to get the job done. Perhaps a method of writing the values to a TXT file (for example) and then being able to reload those values later...? As it is, I've packaged the javascript using the ebook compiler available at [url removed, login to view] I've been talking to my javascript developer about this and this is what he has said about this... " 'Save Settings' cannot be done in Javascript. I was assuming that you were using your own custom-built solution as a base for the EXE file. However, with the [url removed, login to view] software, it is impossible to use another language as well. I investigated a bit and found that if you really really really want this done, you might be able to use Flash/Actionscript (or Director/Lingo (Flash-related)) to supplement the Javascript (and this would be compatible with the [url removed, login to view] software). " I don't HAVE to use the [url removed, login to view] compiler -- I don't mind which application is used to 'package' the script as long as it remains functional (some other compilers I tried messed with some aspects of the script). If you have any suggestions/solutions for this project, please let me know. Thanks, Michael
