My company produces online education modules around digital literacy. We require two voiceover talents (a NZ and Canadian) that can provide the voice for 32 animated video clips (approx 60 secs each). The delivery should not be cutesy nor patronising, but rather youthful, informed, helpful older sister style. You will need to have access to a basic professional recording setup and we can provide direction over phone or Skype. We are looking for someone with prior VO experience that can send examples of prior work. Estimate the job will take about 2 hours.

My name is Andrea Holm and I am from Minnesota, USA. In other words, I am not Canadian, but I am from the North, and we are known for having a Canadian accent. For example, our pronunciation of "bag" and the way that we say our "r´s" is often laughed at. That being said, I have lived overseas for over 10 years and have been working as an English teacher, translator, and have done voice recordings for several projects as well, so perhaps my accent has changed a bit. I tend to be known for having very clear pronunciation, as I am used to speaking to non-english speakers. I have one ongoing project in which we record about 4 hours of audio every month and have been doing so for about 4 years. This project is a tutorial for those interested in becoming personal shoppers. It is an online course, in which you receive a certificate upon completion. The material is educational. For this project I regularly work with a sound tech. He is at my disposal for other projects as well. Too, I have recorded audio for multiple web pages, usually for locals looking for a young, female American accent. This project is the first that I have seen in which they were interested in a Canadian accent, but I imagine that I would be suitable being that I am from MN.
