Hi
I recently created a full-featured blogging application in ASP. It offers unlimited bloggers, unlimited blogs, a css-based blog template, and loads more features.
There aren't too many user-installed, ASP blogging applications available with such an extensive feature list, which means it has the potential to become very popular.
It's currently in beta release and has already had upwards of 500 downloads on a FREE/Donationware basis in less than a month. Plus, the feedback that I've received has been extremely positive.
However, during that time, there's been a few bug notifications, along with other suggestions for improvement.
I also have a few ideas of what I'd like to see done with the code.
But...I don't have the time (or the skills) to take this project on singlehandedly.
Ideally, I'd like to open it up to one (or maybe two) experienced ASP developers who can work with me and the code, iron out all the bugs and make improvements where necessary.
It's by no means intended to be a full time thing - more a 'few spare hours a week' kind of project, that could make a little bit of spare cash.
Ideally, I'd like to produce two stable spin-offs of the application. Firstly, a 'lite' version that's limited to one blog and one blogger and available as FREE/Donationware. And secondly, something similar to the current full version with unlimited blogs/bloggers, etc, that's available to be purchased.
I'm not able to offer immediate payment for this, but I would split any proceeds, from donations or purchase of the full version, equally two or three ways (depending on how many people we get on board).
Obviously, I can't guarantee that this will be a success, but based on the feedback so far, it certainly has potential. It's also already established with a growing user base - all we'll be doing is making a great application even better!!
Let me know if you're interested and I'll reply to you with more details of this application. If you can include URLs of anything similar you've done before, that would be great. Please note: I'm not interested in working with any offshore developers. UK-based only, please.
Thanks.
