My Project is about a cookbook app. I've already started to develop one, now I need someone to improve it and to write a documentation. This app is about supporting someone during cooking. It presents recipes to an user and help with cooking. The app communicate directly with a MongoDB. Each recipe is a json-doc stored in the mongoDB. Currently the app has several activities: When you start the app, the first activity shows a list of recipes (the name of the recipe). When the user click on one list-item the recipe get open. This view includes a photo of the dish, the properties like level country etc. , and last but not least the description devided in several steps. There are two buttons showing both 2 different activities. The first one shows you the Ingredince list. You can put all or a selection of ingredients on purchase list. The purchase list is also an activity you can reach via slide menu. The second one shows the description un a listview. This is the heart of my app. The cook use this activity during cooking. Things to do: 1. study the existing code and write a documentation (javadoc) 5% 2. fix the problems with the alarm/timer 10% 3. replace the existing slide-menu with a better one (implement open source from internet in this point) 10% 4. improve communication with the backend (version control / photos currently not saved in DB) 10% 5. fix bug in step-list and improve it 15 % 6. Ingredients get currently cut if they are too long for one line. 10 % (depending 5 and 6 the existing source code should also get restructured) 7. Improve ingredients list and shopping list 5% 8. There should be an easy way to change the design 15% 9. Write a prototype for filtering the dishes 20 % at 1) write for every class, method and global property a documentation using javadoc. (In-code-documentation) at 2) For some work steps you need an alarm. (For example once have to put an cake in the ofen. The alarm can't get stopped sometimes and if changing the time the changes get not accepted. at 3) there is a slide menu implemented in my app (located on the right side of the app). But currently it is not working correctly. And Im not satisfied by the implemented tool. Thats why you should replace the tool with following slide menu: [login to view URL] After you replacing it should have the same items as before. at 4) Currently the app always download the recipe-docs from DB (and store it local). In future each document should have a versionnumber, and as long the local version and the db-version has the same versionnumber, the recipe should not get downloaded again. at 5) the step-list is the heart of my app. It listed the working steps. The step you are touching on change layout (text get taller and backround change colour) But after deaktivating the step the list-item stay the same size. This is to fix. There should also be a photo behind the steplist. The photo should get a higher brightness therefore. That once can still read the text. at 6) Ingredients get currently cut if they are too long for one line (depending 5 and 6 the existing source code should also get restructured) at 7) Improve ingredients list and shopping list. Especially the design should get improved. at 8) Currently there I'm not sure how the design of my app should looks like. So there should be an easy way to change the design in with view clicks. Design of buttons, slide menu, etc. 9) no info yet. The project is stored in github. You get access to the project when I hire you.
