I have many years web development experience including hundreds of custom projects working with Wordpress and custom APIs like this one. I have not worked with Checkfront in the past, so I spent a bit of time reading this project in detail and creating a test account on Checkfront to run some tests. Reviewing the documentation and testing in the backend, leads me to believe we can alter the default booking form and make only some fields required. This is important because the contact form on the site only has 5 fields. For the booking form - name/email/customer would be the required fields. Next, date and event type would be the item-specific requirements that we would pass when creating a booking. Event type would correspond to a single inventory item. Would 'message' also need to be conveyed into the lead? If so, we would probably need to create a new field for that in the booking form, or somewhere else.
