We want to build a website that allows Members (individuals who have paid for the privilege) to upload video clips (up to 2 minutes each) and to offer those video clips for sale in 30 second segments. For example... Person 1 (A Member who has paid for membership) uploads a 65 second clip. Person 2 (A consumer who needs video footage) decides he like the segment from 7 seconds to 37 seconds. Person 2 can then pay a fee and download the 30 seconds of video they want. The member then gets a portion of the money person 2 pays and the web host retains the difference.
When a Member joins we need them to complete an application and certify that the video they will upload is not copy protected. We also need them to certify that on each upload. We want to offer different levels of membership so say Member Level 1 keeps 15% of sale, Level 2 keeps 20% and Member 3 keeps 40%. They will pay different amounts upon startup so the more they pay up front the more they retain. Obviously this website will need a robust back end that tracks all video and financial transactions. Creates accounts for members and allows them to access and update data such as password and [url removed, login to view] description is provided as a general overview and is not complete. We are looking for a freelancer who can work with us through the project. We want to have a working sample posted in 45 days and a fully functional, beta tested site within 120 days. We will need hosting, programing, maintenance and continued development. This is a long term project and we will pay hourly with must-meet milestones. All data and program work must be backed up to our backup system daily but we want the actual programing and hosting to be done by your server or a site you chose. Again, we understand this is a long term fluid project so we are more interested in Freelancers with the ability to accomplish our goals, with samples of past work, who will work for an hourly rate. You MUST be available during US Pacific Time Business Hours. We want to work with the same contact person. We do not want to have different people we communicate with. There must be a central point of contact.
