Create Amazon ec2 instances of Debian 6 server

Hi I've a few questions in context of the dev-stage-prod environment. 1. How many developers will be working. 2. What language are you going to use for the app 3. Are you looking for git/svn? 4. Will it be a test driven development, if so then what kind of CI server are you looking at. 5. How will developer work as far as the dev stack is concerned, I recommend vagrant with puppet with hiera for all the three environment, with Simply going for same Base box across stage/dev/prod won't make that much of a difference unless the configuration is handled by puppet or any other configuration management tool. Moreover how are you planning to handle database evolution (say developer A needs to implement a new schema, then how are you going to make sure that those changes are reflected back on another system used by developer B) Besides I specialise in software deployment and Cloud computing so I'm comfortable with handling your project. Let me drop a few words about myself, I'm an old serving Systems & Network Engineer, specialising in building infrastructures for dev teams, primarily Java shops with some flavor of Ruby and Python. It includes CI servers, source control management, dev workstations, deployment automation, backups, moniitoring. Tons of experience with cloud platforms, mainly AWS and Digital Ocean. For the most part I'm working with Ubuntu/Debian, some FreeBSD experience. Now, about the project you have to be done. That's doable but I have to admit I'm not big fan of just transferring working servers to the cloud. I would like to have a small chat just before we dive into it so will get a chance to understand what you are trying to achieve, to see the whole picture and discuss the best strategy for you in this particular situation. I'm an export on AWS ec2, and i'm good at cloudformation, which is a configuration file provided by aws, it can describe your servers both the ami and instance type, also the software stack installed on it. I'll using cloudformation to create you servers, when ever you want to recreate, you can just upload this file to aws, then you can get the same machine.
