I have data from a local health census on an access database and would like to create a program/software that creates a summary sheet that automatically identifies and highlights when certain fields within Access meet a criteria. For example, if a mother has more than 3 children under five years of age, I want that information automatically highlighted in a summary sheet. Microsoft Access already allows you to create reports that can function as a summary sheet, but in the past I have to go through these sheets manually to annotate the abnormal findings. Additionally, I would like the software/program to insert a sentence on the top of the summary sheet describing what abnormalities the program identified. I AM REAL. I have created a number of Access databases that utilized VBA to run calculations and various macros. Not saying your project will need extensive VBA, but letting you know that I am capable of performing any coding required. I am envisioning a table to keep track of all the abnormalities. Such as married status = single and children greater than 5. The program would then assign a code or a message which then could be used when the reports are generated. I have also used Access and Excel together if you want to do more analysis on the data. Adding Excel capabilities would be extra however.
