I have a form called "control form" it gets displayed after my .mdb gets opened 10 times this amount "10" can be changed. The purpose of this control form is to allow a user to unlock my program by entering in a serial #. In other words they can try my program for 10 times then they will need a serial #. When the serial # is entered and it meets the condition it will unlock my program by placing "OK" in the registry. It unlcoks it and now the program can be used for ever.
Here is what I need to have coded into this already existing code. Another registry name with a value of "" nothing/Null.
Here is how I want it to work.
The code will create 2 registry names the already existing one and a new one you will add. After the serial # has been
entered and it meets the already existing condition it must now look at the value in the new registry name with a value of ""
nothing. If both of these registry names are correct 1 registry name We'll call MSI8888 = "OK" and the new registry name
MSI8887 = "" then the program will open But if the registry name MSI8888 = "OK" and MSI8887 = "11" or any thing else it will not unlock, and it remain in its current condition expired/locked with onlt the control form appearing when it is opened.
## Deliverables
Hi,
I have a form called "control form" it gets displayed after my .mdb gets opened 10 times this amount "10" can be changed.
Please note the exixting code changes the name of the registry name and adds "OK" when the condition is met. All this must
work exactly as it is. I want to add another registry name and have its value "" blank. And upon registration check these two
conditions and if they are as met unlock the program.
I will also need to have this be code be run when the .mdb is opened, as it currently is now.
The reason for this extra added registry name/setting is so I can change it to a value and it will prevent my .mdb from becoming registered it will remain expired.
I will have a command button labeled unregister, when the user clicks on this command button it will change the
value in the new registry name from "" to "8" or any value which will not unlock my .mdb and it will remain in its current condition with the control form opening when it is opened. The code will need to be placed in the on click event procedure of this command button to change the value in the new registry name from "" to "8" or any value.
