Benchmark portal

Web-portal for benchmark participants. The portal is a front-end for benchmark projects. Clients are businesses that participate in a benchmark project, where for example customer satisfaction is measured and reported across the participants. The portal functions as a central place where these businesses can: log in and get general information about the benchmark, download documents, learn about upcoming events and deadlines (in a calendar), discuss the benchmark in a forum, read a faq and download up-to-date versions of their own (customized) reports (only available to them!). The administrator can send out emails to the participants to (for example) inform them about upcoming events and such. The individual reports are generated automatically (BY A DIFFERENT APPLICATION!) and downloaded in pdf through unique url’s (with parameters). The portal will need a scheduler that downloads these reports (from a list of url’s that are added to the participants by the administrator). ## Deliverables **Brief description** Web-portal for benchmark participants. The benchmark projects in question are long-term projects that require a great degree of continuity. If the initial building of the portal is satisfactory (in terms of process and outcome) we are looking to set-up a longer-term relationship for maintenance and further development of the portal. **Functional requirements** 1. admin level / participant level login and management 2. calendar 3. download section 4. scheduled downloads 5. forum 6. faq 7. news letter (email) **Login** Admin can perform maintenance and can create and manage members (and their data), add new / modify / remove content, etc. Participants log in to their own environment (most of it is shared but the scheduled download section is specific). **Calendar** Fairly simple calendar functionality where admin can add events with a date, time and description. These calendar events show up on the homepage of the portal. Also participants can request to be notified by email on upcoming calendar events. **Download section** Admin can upload files and add them to the general download area and / or the homepage of the portal. Participants can download these documents. **Scheduled downloads** KEY FUNCTIONALITY! The reports for the participants are custom made (generated by another application) and individualized. For each participant a number of urls (with parameters) are added. A scheduled download then evaluates these urls (sequentially) and downloads the pdf’s into a secure download area for that participant. Only the participant can download the files specific to him. Admin needs to be able to add / remove urls to the participants and set the download schedule, also the downloaded report needs to be renamed (name to be set with url). **Forum** Nice to have, not key. To be quoted separately (as an option). Basic message post / reply forum with admin as moderator. **Faq** Just a Q&A page where admin can add / modify / remove items **News letter** (Very) nice to have. A mail option where admin can send emails to all participants. HTML templates, attachments, polls (yes / no buttons in emails) and some basic stats would be nice. To be quoted separately (as an option). **Front-end and design** HTML and CSS will be built by a third party, several portals need to be set up each with their own content and style. So functionality and appearance need to be separated in such a way that the look and feel can be easily changed for each project (by a third party). **PHP / MySQL hosting** By a third party. **Source code** All the source codes and rights will become the sole property of i-link2.
