Alter Wordpress Plugins (EASY GOOD RATING)

Hi everybody,

I need to alter a submission and search plugin in wordpress. As of current, the site accepts "reports" (submissions) by the community. The "reports" have several fields associated. By default, wordpress is storing all of these fields within the post itself. I need the report fields to be associated with the posting but have their own identifable field or column in the database. I will be extracting data for statistics so it is imperative the information is stored correctly in the database. In addition, the search system by default only searches the entire posting for each of the fields in the search. I need it to only search the associated fields in the database. For instance, if someone were to search for the county "riley" we want the search to only display submissions which have the cop name "mike jones", rather than the default behavior of searching the entire post.

Fields the user can input and search by:

Cop Name

State

County

Precinct

Type of officer offense

Type of encounter (traffic stop, knock and talk, etc)

Date

Time

Description

Pictures/Video

Officer Contact info

Submissions should be forwarded to the administrator or moderators, this is already happening on the current site but if something changes this is a necessity.
