Delphi Database Component

Our company needs a custom database component written in Delphi that will have the following design time properties: 1) Ability to specify a single database column. 2) Ability to specify a background graphic. 3) Ability to specify graphics for navigation buttons that will scroll forward/backward (as well as their location and size) 4) Ability to specify a rectangular area (location and size) to display all column values in the table (*more information on this requirement described below) 5) Ability to specify font and font size. 6) Ability to specify horizontal and vertical distance between column values. 7) Ability to specify whether the column values will be displayed horizontally or vertically (ie. if the table has rows ordered 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9) that can fit on the screen it will either be displayed as) 1 2 3 1 4 7 4 5 6 or 2 5 8 7 8 9 3 6 9 Component Functional Requirements: In addition to the above design time properties, the component must perform the following: 1) Ensure that all text will fit within the rectangular area (property #4). If there are more rows in the table, then the forward and backword navigation buttons shall be enabled (back navigation button shall be hidden if displaying First page. Forward navigation button shall be hidden if displaying Last Page). 2) The width of each column shall be the width of the largest word (taking into account the font specified). 3) The database component is read-only (ie. none of the columns are editable) 4) The component shall be compatible with Delphi 6. (ie. the component may be written in C++ Builder and/or a different version of Delphi -- as long as it works in Delphi 6). ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform The component shall either be written using Delphi 6 (or a version of Delphi/C++ Builder that is compatible).
