Datamining of Poker Tournament Results

See "Deliverables" section for details. ## Deliverables The purpose of this project is to automatically collect data on tournament results for certain online poker players. It does not involve gambling directly -- it only involves only automating the collection of publicly available tournament data. Here are the details. There are 3 main poker sites at the moment: PokerStars, FullTilt Poker, and Ultimate Bet. Each site has its downloabable poker client. Even thought the details of each client's GUI are slightly different, each client has the same basic design. I will describe the design for FullTilt, and you can follow along with this picture: [login to view URL] 1) A MAIN LOBBY. This lists all active games, both cash games and tourments. It lists upcoming tournaments as well as completed tournaments. We are interested in the completed tournaments, which list results. If you click on a certain tournament, it will open up the... 2) TOURNAMENT LOBBY. This window has a scrollable pane listing all player names. We will need to search those names for a list of our players. Reading the names is your job. The autoIt 3 info program, eg, cannot read the text of those names. I think the task requires some low level hooking of the clients. Finally, we figure out how much each name got paid by cross referencing the PAYOUT POPUP, which you can open via a link on the tourney lobby. The project would be to create a program that is constantly scans the main lobby for newly completed tourneys, opens them up to check for our players, and, if a player is found, note his winnings. This data would then be sent to a web applicaton and stored in a database. The web application will be built and will provide you an API for accepting new data via an http call with an appropriate query string. We need you to create the system to scan the lobby's and read the data from the poker clients. We'd need a system for all 3 of the major client's I mentioned above.
