**Aim:** Create a tool that to convert Blogger posts into a format that can be edited and then printed in book format.
It is expected the blog entries will obtained by using a tool such as HTTrack and then transformed into a useable format. This will involve:
* removing non-relevant material (such as page headings, sidebars, any text advertising, and so on)
* changing the order to chronological (as opposed to latest first order) for entries
* New page for each blog entry
* entering the links to external sites as references (or in agreed format)
* embedding images, if any, in appropriate format (referring to original image, if available)
* Formatting each blog according to rules previously specified (such as date, headings, comments, and so on)
* Re-organising order of blog elements if required (for example: date of blog may not be first item for each entry).
* Deleting irrelevant material (for example "posted by")
* converting to an appropriate editable format (such as Word, or other solution).
**Example:** [login to view URL]
This should be converted to Word like a human would. See example attached.
**Requirements:** Creation of a tool that will allow:
* Ability to specify blog and date range to be used
* Passing of parameters to HTTrack and creation of offline website
* Rules for text format to be entered (or loaded)
* Rules to define material to be included (or deleted)
* Specifications of output format
* Conversion of offline website as specified
* Output to Word (or other agreed format). If the resulting file is too large to be reasonably transmitted, the file should be broken into logical sections, each no more than 400 ??" 500 MB each.
This tool to run on Windows XP.
Various blogs must be tested. Complete output of blog [login to view URL] from Sept 2005 to 20 Feb 20 2006 as an example of the tool is also a requirement.
