Arccade Cabinet Custom OS

I'm building myself a custom MAME cabinet, and I want a custom front-end to use with it. I want it to have the feel that it is part of the arcade machine, and it should have no signs of windows api at all in it. (Runs full screen, hides all windows elements). It should be able to handle basic keyboard controls, including left-right, up-down, enter and escape. It should also be able to read from a config file for the different emulators that will be used to determine what to do with each title. Each emulator will have anindividual list of games, encased in 'pages' left and right navigate to the different pages, where each game is listed in a listbox. Up-down select the various games on the page, and pressing enter will run the selected game using the emulator for that page. ## Deliverables I cannot iterate enough how important it is that the front-end runs seamlessly into windows, without the visualization of windows elements. Basically, once it's started, it should look like a completely different operating system. It should run as compatible as possible with windows 2000 and xp to avoid debugging errors and etc. I would like it to have the older arcade feel (think galaga, etc) to the elements, so simply geometric shapes should be all that's required. I would also like it to incorporate the use of themes though, in the case later I do decide to change the theme of it.
