Hi -
I have an easy project for an Ajax Guru.
Currently, I have a listings website that uses Google maps - see an example here:
The map is not dynamic - it populates every time the page is loaded.
I want to turn this into an Ajax-powered map system. The functionality I want is here:
[login to view URL]:/coord_51.533157,-0.048416,51.511795,-0.097254/property/buy
NOTE: to see the feature I want, you must click on the map where it says "turn on map search".
Features to add:
1. When you click and drag on the map, the map and listings update with another 10 items near center of map.
2. Two map modes: A) when the page loads, the map centers on the location (latitude and longitude) we include in the user's cookie (their Geo location), or B) the map centers on a location (latitude and longitude) that we define - these should be options we can select by changing the URL, or changing a setting.
3. If there are no results, I have a different HTML/CSS design to display a notice - you will need to do the javascript that changes this portion of the HTML if there are no results.
I WILL DO ALL DESIGN WORK. I will provide you with a DEV server that has this template working, including the map. You will need to modify the javascript - you need to do the Ajax/Javascript portion, including working with Google Maps.
Our database has all listing information in a single table, so it should be easy to work with. Your job is only to make changes to our existing template files, so they have javascript/ajax functionality exactly the same as the example I gave you (above) from Nestoria.
Thank you and good luck-
