Desktop application C# or VB -.NET 3.5(repost)

This is a .NET Desktop application, that needs to have an installer/uninstaller, check for updates over the internet (at startup), authentication (through popup via webservice), etc....standard application and no direct access to the SQL server by the client. What the application actually "does" is very simple. Primarily, It gets updated when a table updates in the server. NOTE: 99.9999% of your work is here will be building a strong application that handles database connections masterfully. We will have 1,000-3,000 customers running this application at the same time. They all need to have Instant data pushed to them from the existing work-process database when it's updated. The application needs to have proper tray, running, and installation icons (we will provide), status notifications, etc. And will be constantly updated a database. Whomever bids on this MUST.....Have an intimate understanding of how to develop applications that communicate over the internet, push information to the client, and have 3,000+ simultaneous versions of the application running. And they must understand how to PUSH instant data in a way that conserves resources, and is designed for thousands of simultaneous instances running. And they Must understand how to get Instant dynamic customer information to individual applications instances within milliseconds (or at least as fast as Instant Messaging). The server side component is MSSQL 2005 server but you can install a webservice which I’m sure is needed. **This Phase Must be done cost effectively.** If project goes well you will most likely be first choice for other phases where applicable. More details to follow once we choose a coder. You will have to sign our NDA and software doc before we can choose you. Also note: Just to clarify.... We (the buyer) own 100% of all code you develop and 100% of anything you do for us. We own the copyright, the code, and any work you do for us in this project or any other project. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). 3.) You need to develop a SQL Server 2005 database that this application will work with. If I get to it first, I might already have that piece done...then you'll only have to do the application. But if not, then you need to have a database that works with the application you're creating. Pretty simple database, but it Must be fully relational. That is a requirement. ## Platform App Must install on XP, 2000 Pro/Workstation, Vista. App programmed in .NET (we hope VB, but if you need to use C# that's fine. We will allow that as everyone likes C#.) App Must be done in Visual Studio 2005. .NET 3.5 is installed so feel free to use .NET to its fullest (so long as compatible for all).
