We have a CSS dropdown menu that doesn't seem to work properly in certain browsers, we REQUIRE 100% functionality with the following browsers
Internet Explorer, 6, 7, 8
Mozilla firefox 3.0, 3.5, 3.6
Safari 4, 5
Chrome 4, 5
Opera 10
However chances are if you can get the menu to work on IE6, it will work on IE7, IE8 and all the other browsers on the list too.
URL: [login to view URL]
I have tested it on IE6 and found that for some reason the dropdown does not appear on top of the body element, this is not a z-index issue, as it works fine in internet explorer 8, it's another CSS issue which I am unfamiliar with.
Secondly, we require the dropdown menu to look as close to the exisiting menu as possible.
URL: [login to view URL]
e.g. font color, weight, cell padding, cell colouring etc.
We can provide ftp access for you to work live on the beta site, all the CSS scripts required for editing have been sanboxed into the folder, however, we prefer if you save the web page locally and worked from there.
The web page is in PHP, but the drop down menu is not database driven, and you probably won't be required to do any editing to the php file anyway.
The page has numerous stylesheets, some are related to the dropdown menu, others are related to other page elements. You are free to modify the CSS of the drop down menu as much as you like, however if you modify the CSS on the page elements please document the changes line by line so I can add them onto the live CSS sheets upon project completion.
From the way I have described it, it may appear that there is a lot of work, however this is only a couple hours work for someone who is competent with CSS, so please bid appropriately.
