custom drupal module to create upload compressed folder field

We have an existing drupal module that allows user to upload compressed folders. The compressed (zip) folders are unzipped into public://username/nameofzip.

This module is no longer meeting our needs. We need the following functionality.

We need a module that creates a field type that can be added to any content type. The field takes a uploaded zip file and unzips it to public://username/nid/nameofzip. When the node is viewed it displays the absolute path to the uploaded inside an iframe. If there is an [url removed, login to view] or [url removed, login to view] file then it is displayed. If there is neither then a file listing is shown.

Please be aware of the following.

-The server this is for in an internal intranet and so security concerns are minor.

-A means of overriding the .htaccess file in /sites/default/files to show file listing or the [url removed, login to view] will need to be negotiated

-When the node is deleted it would be good if the associated folder is also removed.
