Create a custom Fedora Distro

This project is to create a custom Fedora Linux distro. This distro will install several programs 1) Create a Linux distribution using graphic files we already have and build from Fedora Core 4. The distribution's final result will show our graphic image and text information as opposed to the standard Linux install info. 2) Create summary documentation of the steps that were used to create the distribution. 3) If necessary, create appropriate script files using bash, perl, python, etc. to automate the process of creating the distribution. 4) The distribution needs to install the base Linux install as well as several packages (and dependencies). There need to be options during the install to further customize the software installs. We have a .sh script that installs all of this custom software. The .sh script requires that you have internet access (it downloads rpms, etc) so it will need to run after networking is established. The .sh script of ours asks two questions. a) password b. hostname. You will need to make some slight modifications or something so that these questions are asked by the graphical installer and passed to the .sh script. 5) Advise as to how the distribution can be rebuilt using updated files (i.e. security patches, etc). Both CD (maximum 700MB) and DVD (single layer) ISO images will need to be created. We expect to see 4 CD Install ISO's, 4 CD Source ISO's, 1 DVD Install ISO and 1 DVD Source ISO. 6) When this project is done, any person should be able to take a cd with our ISO on it and place it in a new computer and have the above software all installed with the distro (with our logos and text during the install) and end up with a machine running all of the above with very little interaction (simply asking the questions we specify). Continued from "Description": 7) See the white box linux distribution site for some details on how to build a Red Hat workalike distribution. 8) Based on our previous experience, someone who understands how to do this should be able to complete the ISO building in a few hours. The documentation and script building aspect will add additional time. You will need to have ample disk space. 9) We have a test computer that we can let you use for testing during the build process. ---- end description---- Deliverables: 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.

2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):

a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.

b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.

3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
