Browser to printer direct

The purpose of this project is to print directly without going through the browser's printing dialog. Background: I have an app that runs in a browser on a local machine. The local machine also has a apache server with php. To print, the app sends data to a php script on the local server which formats the data as rtf file which is returned to browser. That triggers a browser helper which prints then automatically prints the rtf file without ever opening the browser dialog box. This process works fine except that it is not the smoothest. There are several ways to deal with this. However I have an important restrictions: rtf files are very easy to build and manage. All i have to do is open them in an rtf editor. I can also create templates in Word and easily ensure that printing will go according to plans. This application is used by a variety of people in my company and they print on a variety of printers: POS - style thermal printers, dot matrix printers, ink/laser printers etc. Rtfs enable me to quickly test and format new printer templates as new printers are used. The best solution would be a program that would act as a both as a server and a printer. Ideally the printer app would have drivers for a wide range of printers. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform windows XP and beyond.
