In this project, you will “build?? and analyze latches and flips flops using LogicWorks. **Task 1:** Enter a design for the SR latch (You may implement either one of the NOR or NAND configuration). Using binary switches to drive inputs S and R and binary probes to display outputs Q and Q’, generate the _characteristic table_ of the latch and a timing diagram (i.e. timing diagram that shows the behavior of the latch under all possible combinations of inputs). Enable S and R (use the same binary switch for both input). Then disable them both. Note what happens. **Task 2:** Add an Enable control signal to obtain a gated SR latch. Generate its characteristic table and the corresponding timing diagram. **Task 3:** Using the gated SR latch of task 2, design a gated D-latch. Use the timing window to generate its characteristic table and a timing diagram. **Task 4:** Open a J-K Flip/Flop from logic works primitive library. Using binary switches and the timing window, analyze its behavior. **_Generate its characteristic table_** from its timing diagram. Note the additional control signals S and R (don't confuse these with the S and R inputs of an SR latch). Is the flip flop negative/positive edge triggered? Are the S and R inputs synchronous or asynchronous? Repeat the same procedure for the D Flip-Flop. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform Must Logic works 4 or above. Follow tasks as described.
