Digg.com Clone, Different Ideal, No AJAX, Read on!

I'm looking for someone to develop a [login to view URL] style site, with a different direction - not looking for this plain old link-to-other-sites news system, but rather a more customizable system. Must be developed in PHP4, and should be PHP5 compatible, should be compatible with the lowest version of MySQL that is reasonably expected. We don't expect any fancy AJAX, however, do expect a reasonably customizable system that we could use for multiple sites - this means a simple WordPress-style templating system, potentially a plugin system (optional!), an administration interface with settings for everything, etc. We have a template designed already, to provide you soemthing to look at - etc. Information will be provided in significantly more detail when someone has been identified as a potential worker. Prefer to work with people who natively speak English, however, a fluent non-English speaker will be considered if their rates are reasonable! Quality/efficieny of code is less relevant than the end users impression. Thanks. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in full unencrypted, unencoded source code form, in PHP, with the applicable associated MySQL database. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, with a proper installation script, and documentation for how to set it up. 3) Deliverables must include a fully customizable templating system, based on that seen in the WordPress PHP script, or that seen in the Game Site Script script. 4) Administration interface should handle everything, and should be perfectly usable to a computer-illiterate user. 5) Developer should stay in communication with buyer the entire time, updating on status, and any problems. 6) Script should provide a VERY customizable clone of [login to view URL], which could support anything from news, to videos, to images, to jokes, to software. Two different "modes" should be available, one which makes entries link to external sites, [login to view URL] style and one which links to embedded pages within the site. ## Platform PHP4 -AND- PHP5 compatible! Lowest reasonably expected version of MySQL compatible. Linux/Windows. Runs with a variety of [login to view URL] settings (i.e, no relying on globals on, or GPC Magic Quotes)
