I have an include being called from an html page. The trick is to have the various pages [login to view URL], [login to view URL] and [login to view URL] to work the same way as [login to view URL], [login to view URL] and page3.html. This is needed because the variable (as shown in [login to view URL]) var activemenu = "menu1"; can carry different fields and is used as in a template where the only item needed to be entered is the "menu1", "menu2" etc. This is how the active menu (from the include) is to be called. All files to demo are includes (html, css and images). Requirements:
* The navigation must be an include file
* one variable from main page must control which navigation item is active
* can only use html and javascript
This should be something really simple, but I'm stuck and can use your help.
