Professional C++ programmer, with expertise in MFC, VS2003/2005, wanted for ongoing large project that is a full-featured e-mail client *and* a shader-based 3D world using a 3D game engine. It's very innovative, and I'm looking for someone whose ingenuity matches it. I'm looking for someone to log 80 hours per month. Each month will be a new RAC project (this first one is an open auction, the chosen bidder will continue to have private auctions after the first month if work is satisfactory). We are a small group of developers with a 10-year history of making Windows software with a strong internet component. Our main product has been featured in PC Magazine, Wired, and elsewhere. I'm looking for someone with a very strong work ethic, positive attitude, creativity, and guru-like expertise with MFC/COM/ActiveX to (remotely) join my lead programmer in project-based assignments. If you're not fluent with MFC, please don't bid. There's another component to this: Ideally, you'll be interested in going outside your comfort zone and intimately learn a shader-based game engine (TGEA by Garage Games, which has C++ source code and a proprietary scripting language) so that you can also assist us with this aspect of our work, as well.
## Deliverables
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows? (depending on the nature? of the deliverables):
a)? For web sites or? other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software? installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
