This project is for a customized digital signage software package. It will be used on a minipc connected to an LCD/Plasma monitor. The software is designed to allow someone to upload content that will be displayed using schedules and timers on the lcd.$0$0There are two parts to the software. The first part is the configuration GUI that is used on the administrator computer to edit the content/timers/layout. This software will push a configuration file to a thumb drive that will be put into the minipc.? $0$0The minipc will have software that will read the thumb drive automatically. Based on the file structure generated the software on the minipc will automatically take the configuration and start using it.$0$0There are tons of examples of this kind of software. Keywest designs, M3, and many others make software like this.$0$0The editor must be easy to use with a nice GUI. It should allow different zones to be placed on the screen that will independently use files uploaded into the administrator software. The files possible to upload should be all image file formats, all video formats including flash. It should also support television in a zone through a tuner in the minipc.$0$0The software must be able to communicate through a RS232C port on the back of the monitor. The monitors that will be used are all LG. LG provides the code required to communicate with the television in order to control turning it off/on/volume/display options.$0$0This must include some type of security against unauthorized use. Not all computers using this will have internet access, so possibly locking it to a specific hard drive number would need to be used. This can be up to the programmer but must be secure.$0$0Thanks for taking the time to read this, if you have any questions feel free to ask.
