Air Charter - Tour Operator Development

We need a flight booking script and website portal system IMPORTANT: Preference will be given to already developed products, and we can adapt our requirements to suite. We are not interested in a monthly fees or commission structure. GDS is not required at the moment but will be implemented in the future when funds allow it, so keep that in mind. Reservations System 2. Payment Gateway 3. Back Office 4. Agents 5. Re-Sellers 6. Custom Websites 7. Operations -------------------- 1. Reservations User must be able to book flights, accommodation, cars and tours. All these will be pre-defined by us and our sister companies. People must be able to book as individuals or groups When people search for flights the system needs to find flights that still have "open legs" and suggest alternate flights to user to fill seats. Tours will include flight, accommodation and cars/travel or only one of them. Tours will mostly be based on filling up groups of 8 or 12 people, the system needs to allocate people to fill up empty slots before suggesting different dates. Accommodation must be PAX driven and include details such as meals, travel to and from airport etc. The ticketing system must email the ticket to the client or tour operator in PDF format as well as immediate download from website with all relevant information after successful booking. Functionality has to be in place for security and double bookings. 2. Payment Gateway Our initial preferred payment method is PayPal and then your standard payment gateway which will support most credit cards. We require multiple currency and a option on the front page for the user to change his currency. Detailed records should be kept for back office use. 3. Back Office We require detailed reports which can be exported to applications like filemaker and the ability to create PDF's from the back office We must be able to load available flights, accommodation, cars & tours easily. AJAX'ed features will be bonus for drag and drop of products. On accommodation, cars & tours we must be able to set a markup percentage or commission structure from the sale price supplied by the agents and suppliers Detailed forms will be required for the agents and suppliers and their products Our flights are scheduled for departure 2 ours after main airlines arrive and we must be able to modify them accordingly with ease. We will supply a SMS api which has to be implemented to notify users and tour operators so a fully implemented messaging system must be in place so we can notify all the people on a certain flight. We also want to use this system for marketing later on. We also require control over flight taxes etc. IMPORTANT: Some requirements will still be added here. 4. Agents Agents will have full access to account we create for them ie. Tour Operator Vehicle Hire Hotel's, Lodges & B&B's Re-Sellers Each category will have each own unique set of rules of which we will supply the criteria in well planned flowcharts to make work easier for the developer. Agents can pull reports of total sales and relevant information pertaining to them. Agents might have more than one user online at a time. 5. Re-Sellers will be commission based and detailed reports of sales and cancellations are required with easy reporting etc. These reports must also export to 3rd party applications. Re-Sellers will enter the portal and need to see all products in a coherent format and fast searching and easy booking methods. We require security verification of some sorts to prevent fraud. Re-Sellers might have more than one person logged into the system at a time. 6. Custom Websites As indicated in the beginning we like some templates form other websites. We need a template driven system with easy modification via CSS or similar technology to drive our 4 other websites. Each website needs to show specific products as we select from the central booking system. The implementation should be very straight forward. We like AJAX drag & drop features a lot so it would be plus to have a standard shell where we can drop in components or specific criteria. IE. We have a travel website for mountain climbing so we just want to show specific tours/trips and the amount of people per tour, nothing else. 7. Operations Detailed records of Flights, Planes, Pilots, Services --------------------------------- On a final note: - these requirements might change a little but the core of it should give you good indication of the work involved.
