asp.net httpmodule or other solutions to get rid of that big viewstate

Hi Here is a challenge for all you .NET coders to rpove yourself for future projects. We largely develop our webbased applications to be as lean and mean as possible, so we developed our own way to compress javascript, have external xml based javascript files and more to make pages as fast loading as possible. However microsoft screws it all up with there huge viewstates in the code. Thats why we need the following. Have a way to reduce the viestate returned by instead of dropping all the viewstate in the page itself drop all viewstates in an external file that is loaded from the server and not all dropped on the page. I think we can accomplish this by using a httpmodule of some sort but we are open to other suggestions. We know that this isnt such a big thing its just a trick that we have to find out. So prove us that you can help us solve this and give us the ( probably easy ) solution and you will be our top choice for our other always interesting and technical challenging .NET prjects.
